The sun had already sunk below the horizon by the time Alfred and Liberty reached the stables. It had been an exceptionally long day, and all the American wanted to do was sleep for the next two days, as impossible as that desire was. He groaned softly and unhooked Liberty’s saddle and gave her a pat on the side. “Get some sleep girl. Same routine tomorrow.” The mare gave him a loving nuzzle before settling comfortably in her stall. Victoria gave him a glare, even as refilled hers and Liberty’s water barrel. Alfred ignored this, having grown used to the horse’s distrust and simply went about his task. He watered and feed the two mares, giving both of them a light pat on the head before departing for the night. After all, Arthur was probably missing him.

Alfred smiled at the thought of the other man. Half a year had passed since they had taken down Ivan’s empire, and much had changed since then. While the two were recovering under Matthew’s care, a messenger arrived with news of Alfred’s promotion - apparently his actions within the west had not gone unnoticed. And so, when the two were well enough, they packed up their belongs and headed to one of the largest cities in the west. Needless to say, Alfred had been ecstatic and eagerly fell into the role of sheriff again while Arthur acted as his partner. The city had even bestowed the two with a nice two bedroom home to share, which they gladly took and made into a home.

Working within the city was much more difficult than what Alfred had been used to. Everyday was filled with long hours of patrolling, breaking up drunken gunfights, and ensuring that any rise of organized crime was quickly suppressed. Although he was often exhausted by the time he made it home, he was happy nonetheless to be doing his part. Everything was as it should be and he wanted for nothing. Well, that was untrue. He missed his brother (and even Francis on occasion), for the good doctor had opted to see the end of his commission within the tiny town. Alfred understood Matthew’s want to enjoy the peacefulness that the town provided, but often times found himself wishing he had made a different choice. Then there was Arthur. Yes he was happy to be living with the man he loved, but it was difficult to hide the full extent of their relationship from the public eye. He supposed he shouldn’t complain. They loved each other and were together - nothing else should matter.

Alfred walked down the dusty street, offering waves to the people he recognized and smiles to the ones he did not. At the end of the block he could see warm light pouring out from the windows of his and Arthur’s home. Good, that meant Arthur had decided to stay wait up for him then. He eagerly quickened his walk and pushed open the door, sighing in satisfaction when he was graced with the comfortable familiarity of home. “I’m home Arthur!” He said, kicking off his dusty boots and hanging his hat and gun up by the door. He smiled happily and stepped into their tiny living room, half expecting to see the elusive Englishman sipping tea or reading. When he did not, Alfred pouted and glanced up towards the staircase. “Aw come on Artie. You know I didn’t mean to be so late again,” He said, hoping to convince the other man to come out from wherever he was hiding and greet him. Maybe give him a kiss or two, considering he had worked hard that day.

Arthur sighed when he saw the sunset. It was going to be a rather late night it seemed for Alfred yet again. Arthur cleaned his plate and placed a napkin over the sandwich he had made Alfred. The Englishman had been somewhat banned from cooking, by the townspeople more than Alfred himself. Still Arthur could handle making a sandwich, a meal he was growing somewhat annoyed with. Arthur wants to be a little bit domestic, not full on house wife, but domestic. He's not mad at Alfred for being so late, he really can't, Arthur himself has come in late as well, having followed a lead on something until the stars came out. Besides the American was doing his job, and he still comes home with a reasonable excuse if its very late. Arthur hates to admit it but he really can't fall asleep till he knows Alfred is safely back home and in good health.

He stretched the kinks out of his back before his eyes caught sight of the notes he had taken. Two women had come to him rather troubled about their sons, having run off at odd hours and coming back at even odder ones. Arthur had made notes about it, something he would have to look into tomorrow. Of course the women had commented about being there for five months or so when they were leaving which had gotten Arthur thinking. His hand worked the were way to the chain on his neck, it meant roughly six months that Arthur's had the ring. He chuckled at the odd fact that it felt like he knew Alfred his whole life, yet his known the man for under a year...maybe a year, Arthur doesn't really remember much aside for the day he first meet him, it changed his life. He placed the piece of paper back on the table as he went to fetch some matches.

The Englishman lit a few candles so it was dark when Alfred came home, no matter when he came home. Arthur hurried upstairs to change get ready for bed, or something he could hop of bed and race down in if someone came knocking at the door. That was one of the things he hated about this town, there was no true down time for either him or Alfred. Anyone could come knocking on their door with a problem and they had be ready to respone, no matter the time. Arthur quickly slide into some of the softest clothes he had, now that there was a bit of a stable job, Arthur was able to purchase some clothes his size and treat himself to slightly fancier clothes. Arthur gave a yawn and picked up the candle and walked out of the "his" room, before wondering into the room both him and Alfred shared. He climbed into the large bed, both of the rooms bed were on the large size, leaving room for opportunity of wives to come. Of course that was clearly never going to happen. Of course that doesn't mean the town knows that, women still looked them up and down and attempted to win them over. Arthur was rather jealous of the amount of attention Alfred let them get away with. Of course Arthur is rather sure he scares a good deal off by glaring at them and huffing about.

He curled up on Alfred's side of the bed, tired, but not once willing to fall asleep. He took a deep breath of the American's smell. The two don't see much of each other since they've come to the huge town. They sleeply cuddle, kiss each other chastely, and sneak a few hot moments in here and there. Arthur smiled at the fact that Alfred could be rather risk taking in his timing and placing. The sound of Alfred's voice makes Arthur sit up. Usually Arthur fakes being a sleep if Alfred comes home when his already curled up in bed. Of course he'll shift over to his side of the bed, cuddles up when Alfred walks in. However with his current thoughts, he crawls out of bed with a light and made his way to the stairs. He wants to at least do something tonight, his mentally exhausted and still a bit haunted by Ivan's torture, but with Alfred it was sure to fine.

"You're late," Arthur said with a slight pout on his face. He was rather sure it wasn't the American's fault, but he still can't help but pout. "That's how many times this week?" Arthur asked.

The sound of footsteps shuffling at the top of the staircase alerts Alfred of the other’s presence. He looks over at the pouting Brit, a loving smile tugging at his own lips at the cute sight. He must have come in later than he thought - Arthur was already in his night clothes and, from the looks of his hair, might have already settled into bed when he called for him. “I know, I’m sorry,” He said, holding up his hands in a submissive way as he walked up the stairs. Arthur had every right to be upset. Ever since they had moved, there hadn’t been much time for anything else besides work. They would see each other’s in the mornings if they were lucky before each departing to take care of their duties for that day. Most nights the both of them would be too exhausted to do much else besides change and cuddle before falling asleep in each other’s arms, only to wake up and perform the same routine the next day. It was frustrating how little they saw of each other at times.

Alfred pulled Arthur into a hug when he reached the top of the stairs, careful not to accidentally put his hand in lit candle he carried. “There was somebody causing trouble down by the bank, and I had to help out. It took a little longer then expected.” He pressed a light kiss against Arthur’s forehead, hoping to coax the pout off his face. “But I’m home now, and seeing how you’re still up…” He carefully moved Arthur away from the stairs, back towards the bedroom they shared, a mischievous grin on his face. Although this hadn’t been his original plan for the evening, he couldn’t turn down the chance to steal a few private moments with Arthur when he had the chance.

When the reached the bedroom, Alfred leaned down and blew out the candle, leaving the room in comfortable darkness. Before the other could protest, he slid the candle out of his grasp, set it on the beside table and brought Arthur into a passionate kiss. He groaned against Arthur’s soft lips, already melting into the familiarity of their connection. Oh yes, it had been far too long since they had gotten the opportunity to be intimate like this. As of late, there had always been something that prevented them from ever actually losing themselves to passion, whether it be their own exhaustion or a crisis within the town. But tonight, he vowed he would do everything in his power to make sure Arthur saw the stars.

Alfred’s lips traveled down the pale expanse of Arthur’s neck, humming lightly when he reached his throat. “If I sucked you off, would that make you forgive me? Hm? Or maybe if I rode you? It’s been a while since we’ve done it that way…” He offered in a low, husky voice. A lot had changed in the months they had spent living together. Although their intimate moments had been fewer than either of them would have liked, Alfred had grown more confident in his abilities to please the other, thanks to the careful ‘instruction’ of the older man. The American grinned and pressed another heated kiss against Arthur’s lips as he backed him up against the side of the bed. He could only hope that tonight would end in the fireworks he hoped for.

Arthur tried in all his power to keep the pout on his face, but it melted away the moment Alfred kissed his forehead and embraced him. "Hm...don't talk about work," Arthur muttered lightly. He didn't want to think about work until the next morning, and even then he didn't want to think about it till he had to absolutely had to wake up, and there was no more morning snuggling. Still he lightly drew his finger tips along Alfred's arm, silently checking for even the slightest of injuries. Alfred guided him away from the stairs, and Arthur was almost a little too stubborn to follow right away. Surely, wanted to eat, there wasn't many times Arthur saw the American turn down food. However he slowly processed the possibility of what it might be and more than happen followed along, his green eyes watching Alfred closely.

Then the light was out and out of his hold, lips were happily occupying his own. The Briton moaned at the feeling. God he wished he could do this freely, have Alfred feeling up his body and begging him to react, while Arthur's hands were doing the same. Alfred and Arthur did kiss often, however it wasn't usually in the bedroom, or in the dark, or this quiet. Arthur dared anyone to try and ruin this, because there was not going to get a very polite deputy or his help. If anything he was going to give them a slammed door and a "come back in the morning." Of course Alfred would probably be at the door before Arthur, and the mood would have taken its new found freedom and scurried off. Arthur moaned and tilted his head as Alfred worked his way down his neck, and shivered at the sound of his voice.

Everything sounded lovely, and just imagining the other doing such wonderful things could make him hard. Arthur longed for the feeling of skin against skin, but with their duties in the morning it wasn't a wise thing. Neither of them were exactly use to the feeling and their interactions with the other were indeed closer in time frames, it's still no closer to being ready to face of crime. Arthur tugged at Alfred shirt, as he fell back on the bed. "Mmm, that all sounds lovely, but I want to feel you and our duties will suffer even if were careful." Arthur said breathlessly. All his brain could think about it was mindless hand jobs, or grinding against the other for release. He bucked his hips, he was starting to get hard. "We could just do this, but without any clothes."

Alfred fell onto the bed beside Arthur, already working on removing his night shirt in favor of exposing more skin to his wondering mouth. However, his exploration came to a halt when he realized what Arthur was implying. He knew that they had work in the morning and it wouldn’t do them any favors to do full on sex, but it had been so long. Besides, if they going to continue to be ‘practical’, that meant they would never get the chance to ever be with each other in that way again! Alfred pouted and climbed on top of the British man, kissing him roughly as he pulled off his shirt. It wasn’t fair that they constantly had to be the responsible one’s when it was everybody else who kept creating work for them.

“One night wouldn’t hurt Arthur,” He whispered, pressing another wet kiss against the curve of his neck as his hand slid down the front of his pale body. No matter how many times he saw Arthur, he could not get over how unbelievably beautiful he was. Alfred smiled, his lips following the trail his hand had made. “Besides… I know you’re dying for it too…” He pressed a kiss against one of Arthur’s dusty pink nipples, working the flesh with the rough side of his tongue until it hardened. He grinned down at his handiwork before repeating the same process on the other nipple. “Please Arthur?” He pleaded, looking positively pathetic despite the fact that he was in the process of removing Arthur’s pants as well. Of course, he wouldn’t force the other man into doing anything he didn’t want to, but he didn’t see how work had to dominate every aspect of their personal life. They hardly ever got to see each other in the first place, and if they did, it had to be under the mask of polite friendship least anybody was watching. It was frustrating and Alfred was tired of it.

He pulled himself away from Arthur, staring down at him, face exhausted. “If you don’t want to, never mind. I thought it might be nice to be with you though, since we never get the opportunity to be together anymore.” Alfred lay down on the bed beside Arthur, turned away as he pouted in silence. Stupid job getting in the way of everything. Why was it that they had to be the one’s to give up their lives in order to keep everybody else happy?

Alfred was good at making Arthur wants something, when his reason told him not to at all. It was on of his weaknesses the American could cause. A blush spread across his cheeks and the sheriffs hands and lips worked about his body, and then he was begging on top of it. The sort of begging he did that made Arthur want to flip him over and ravish him as well, and then make the Englishman realize how desperate he was as well. The two very rarely got a chance for such a thing. Besides one bad day isn't going to end there career, and Alfred and Arthur can't be one hundred percent healthy all the time. Still there was still duties to do, and some couldn't always wait till tomorrow. Arthur attempted to groan in frustration, but it probably came out as a moan. Why did the two of him have to be so responsible for a huge town? Taking down a crime network is completely different from protecting a town from its problems.

Arthur wanted to tell the other to be reasonable about everything, and they can't do what they wished. He wanted to tell Alfred he understood his wants as well, and Arthur was desperate as it could get about having sex with Alfred again, Alfred's touches were not helping him get over it any faster. He wanted to do whatever came to his mind with Alfred. They can't though, and he can't either, seeing as how Alfred pulled away from him and rolled over. He stopped a whine that felt his lips, and sighed at Alfred's words. The Englishman pulled himself closer to the American, before he worked his arms around him, and cradled the American's back to his chest.

"I'm just trying to be reasonable, love." Arthur said gently, before planting a light kiss on the American's ear. "You're on Liberty most of the day tomorrow. having you riding me is lovely, but I don't want you hurting for a week. I have to do some investigating tomorrow, and God only knows what might happen, or who will run." Arthur wants to make it clear he does want sex, and is loving being in this opportunity, but there are things he worries about. He pulled his body as closes as he could, feeling the welcomed fiction on his hardening length. "I'll at admit it would be easier if we had help, you know, more than just the two of us." That was something Arthur wished for all the time, especially when he was in a cuddly mood. "This town is too big for two people to handle all the time, no matter what they did to get here." Arthur pressed a kiss on the back of Alfred's neck, debating running his tongue down the strong neck for a while. He decided against it. "I want to do something..." Arthur paused for a bit, "I've been thinking a bit today about how long we've been together."

Alfred felt thin, strong arms slide around his waist, pulling him back until he was pressed up comfortably against Arthur’s frame. He knew why they couldn’t continue - he knew they had an obligation to the people to remain ready and able to handle everything and that acting selfishly wouldn’t do them any favors once morning hit. He knew all of that, but that didn’t stop him from continuing his silent pouting session. His stubborn resolve to remain upset did not remain unshaken though. Arthur’s gentle kisses to his ear and neck quickly had him relaxing comfortably within the other man’s arms. “I know… but we never get a break. It’s not fair that we have to sacrifice our intimacy because of our jobs…”

He groaned softly, the pressure of Arthur’s hardened length pressing up against his backside was not making this situation any easier on him. Damn, would it really be so bad to throw caution to the wind and just lose each other in passion? It would only be for one night, and the two of them could use a chance to let loose for once. Besides, crime rates shouldn’t rise spectacularly by the time morning hit. “I would be okay… I can handle a little pain tomorrow morning if it meant spending the night with you…” He said softly, pushing his hips back to meet Arthur’s groin. Although he was still trying to get the other to crack, he was slowly losing resolve himself. As much as he wanted to make love, the prospect of spending the entire day on horseback with a sore behind was not as appealing as he would have liked.

“You’re right though, we shouldn’t have to do this on our own. Maybe I can send word and have a few other men sent up. That way we could at least have a couple days to ourselves.” There had to be sheriff’s out there who were underemployed enough to want to take a temporary commission within such a large city. And since Alfred and Arthur would still be doing the majority of the work, there wouldn’t be so much danger. It didn’t sound like an impossible request, especially considering that only a few months ago, he himself would have loved such an opportunity. “Hmm?” Alfred tilted his head to the side, glancing back at Arthur through the corner of his eye. Wanted to do something? What was he talking about? “It’s been about a year right? Since we first met I mean.” He wasn’t quite sure if Arthur wanted to count the period he thought he was dead as still being together. “What is it that you wanted to do? You know I’m up for anything.”

Arthur grinned as Alfred pressed his hips against him, welcoming the small shiver of pleasure that ran through his body. "It's rather cheeky of you to think that," Arthur teased lightly. He somewhat trusted the American's words, Alfred had been in far more pain than Arthur would like to think about (he doesn't mind thinking about the pain from sex, because he knows it as well and he helped cause it in a night of pleasure). Of course the American had smiled and been as much of himself as he could with it all of it weighing down on him. The pain cause by sex wasn't as extreme, but it wasn't fun either.

Arthur made a sound of agreement at the American's agreement. A little help wouldn't hurt, maybe something that just got them the weekends, or some days off here and there. There were plenty of good reasons, and he was sure the town wouldn't mind a little extra protection. After all if Alfred got sick or injured it only left Arthur to handle everything, and one person can only do so much and Arthur's head would surely not be in the job. "We need a nice break," Arthur said and the townspeople would probably agree with that statement. Arthur and Alfred had always been running around and its clear there is very little time to themselves, but Arthur's excuse of work will run down the drain for not having a wife. His forced marriage excuse being traumatizing was losing a bit of luster as well. Oh well.

Alfred knocked him from his thoughts at his comment. "I'd say about a year." Arthur said easily, "and at least six months since you gave me your mother's ring." Arthur gave a bit of a chuckle just thinking back for a second, or as much as he could before Alfred's question knocked his thoughts away. "I don't know what I want to do!" Arthur snapped making a face. "I don't think about ravishing you ever second of the day. Why do you think I said something?!" A smile spread across his face and he laughed out the last sentence. "You have anything in mind?" Arthur said resting his face in Alfred's hair.

Alfred’s interest rose when he felt Arthur shiver in response to his hips pressing back against him. Perhaps his quest for a little intimacy wasn’t quite so out of reach as he might have originally thought. “Can you blame me? It’s been forever since we’ve done it. Besides,” He shifted his hips to the side, biting back a grin when he felt Arthur’s half hardened length pressing up against him. Nice, very nice. If he held out longer than the British man‘s good reason did, they could finally have a night of releasing their pent up passion. What was so bad about that? “From the feel of things, you want it just as badly as I do darling,” He finished with a grin, although he kept his back pressed firmly up against Arthur’s chest.

“Yeah, I think everyone could agree with that.” One good thing that had come out of moving to this town was everyone was far more appreciative of their efforts than his previous commission had been. Crime was more common in bigger towns and people often feared for their lives or the loss of their worldly possessions. Out here, there was no divine mercy. “I’ll see what I can do tomorrow.” He promised, already giddy with the idea of having a few days of peace. Hopefully it wouldn’t take long to find some acceptable recruits. He wasn’t about to let just anybody walk in and take up a lawman’s position, not after the corruption he witnessed. But he was still confident that there were men or women out there, ready to put their lives on the line for the sake of social justice rather then greed.

Alfred couldn’t help but laugh at Arthur’s little outbursts. It was clear what the other man wanted - some sort of celebration or commemoration for managing to make it through one year together. “Well… it depends. Do you want to take a trip together or something? I mean, we can’t exactly leave until we have somebody trustworthy working with us. Or… we could…” Huh, now that he thought about it, he wasn’t exactly sure what would be good to do either. They had so many other concerns calling for their attention, he could scarcely think of anything else. “Actually, I really don’t know either. But we need to do something. A year together is worth celebration.”

"Never said I didn't want it." Arthur muttered with a bit of a chuckle. He did still want something physical to come through that night, but he wasn't about to let turn as heated as he's body desired, at least just so Alfred and him can function fully in the morning without limping. "It's just...life getting in the way." Arthur said nuzzling into Alfred's hair more. Arthur loves the life though, he would never trade it for the world, especially if it had Alfred in it. The West is a beautiful place, its grown on him quite a bit, more than he ever thought it would. Its still no where near London, which Arthur still misses dearly, but land is so different and it's bright. Arthur was sure he wouldn't be sure what to do when it rained there, seeing as how he might run out in it and look like an idiot because he missed it so.

"A trip sounds bloody lovely." Arthur said, Alfred's soft hair was tickling his face. He grinned at the idea. It would just be the two of them and no one around because thinks he might shoot someone if they ruin any part of it. "No one around, just us," Arthur said trailing off, as he thought about all the things they could get up too with no one around. He sighed, as much as he longed he didn't know when or if it would happen. "I don't care, just as its something in it's honor."

Alfred couldn’t help but pout at that response. Why the heck was Arthur being so difficult if he wanted it too? He had offered to be on the receiving end this time, meaning he would be the only one dealing with any particularly irritating after effects. And yet, Arthur kept insisting that they shouldn’t. “Well it needs to stop getting in the way. I miss being with you.” Alfred rolled over so that he was facing the Brit, careful not to accidentally pull himself away from the warm, comfortable cocoon that his arms provided. If good ol’ American seduction didn’t work, he would resort to something more devious - something Arthur wouldn’t be able to resist even if he tried. The kicked puppy look.

Despite his size and stature, Alfred had the uncanny ability to look exactly like a child when he wanted to. Curling up beside Arthur, he stared up at him with wide, innocent looking blue eyes and pouty lips. “It’s only for one night,” He reminded softly, looking sadder by the second as he tried to break the Englishman’s resolve. Usually he could convince the other of just about anything when he pulled out this look, but only when whatever he was agreeing to didn’t put the American into harms way. When it came to matters of preserving Alfred’s health, Arthur was immovable.

A smile tugged at Alfred’s lips when he considered the prospect of taking a proper trip with Arthur. Not having to worry about criminals or gunfire, but just enjoying the other mans company and nothing else. That was a heavenly thought indeed. However, there was still the town to consider and they couldn’t exactly just leave it in anybody’s hands, lawmen or not. No, even if they managed to wrangle somebody down there to take over some of their extra workload, it would be months before they could even consider leaving.

“We’ll take a trip one day Arthur,” he promised with an easy smile. “I’ll take you up to Virginia to see where I grew up and you can drag me across the sea to see London, just like you promised.” It was only too bad they couldn’t manage to make it this year. It would have been nice to get away, but they had only just established and needed to stick around longer to really make a difference. “How about a day trip? Surely they can spare us for one day? We could pack some food and go out, enjoy the quiet. How does that sound?”

Arthur kept his face as emotionless as he could when Alfred around and gave him on of the looks that always made Arthur cave. In the current situation it really made the Englishman want to shove the American into the bed and give him all it was worth, go all criminal on him. Still he frustration and worry kept the urge just out of reach. "Alfred..." Arthur warned, his mind scrambling for something that would satisfy the American (and him) until a much better opportunity came along, like a holiday, usually people tried not to bother them too much seeing as how they might want to enjoy it as well. Surely there was something they could do that was close enough, or thrilling enough, or even simple enough to repeat a few times. "It might be one night, but at least two days of soreness." Arthur reminded lightly. Even if he wouldn't admit it out loud, Arthur did somewhat like seeing Alfred limp around after a good night of pleasure, he can't help but enjoy the fact that Alfred was tamed by him and him alone. (If tamed is even the right word.)

Arthur listened to Alfred though his mind was still searching for something to do. Damn Alfred and his ability to make himself look so cute and innocent, and that blasted smile! "England would be a much longer trip, close three or four months depending on what boat and where we leave. I'd say Virgina is the best bet right now." Arthur informed a bit flatly, Virgina was currently the better get away for them if they wanted a good length away. Arthur hasn't been many places in the States, asides from the beautiful west and a very busy New York. Alfred is right though. The town can however spare them a day, with the proper amount of warning time to the right people. Everyone knows they work hard enough, and they need a get away from time to time as well. Besides Victoria would probably enjoy it, Arthur noticed she is somewhat bored of the town and its surroundings. "I'm sure the town could handle itself well enough for a day." Arthur said.

Arthur allowed a quiet pause to sit on them, before, without warning, he leaned forward and kissed Alfred hard. Arthur shifted his body just so, before he shoved Alfred's back flat against the bed, crawling on top of him in the process. His hands worked the buttons of the American's shirt in a rather rushed fashion, Arthur wanted skin, and he was going to get it. Tugging at the American's bottom lip, and looking at him lustily before released it and kissed his way down Alfred's neck to the spot he knew made Alfred whither away. He bit down lightly, careful not to leave a mark in such a visible place. Arthur dragged his tongue all the way up to Alfred's left ear, leaning ever closer to the American. "I've got an idea, something that will hopefully help you live with all that pent up want," Arthur exhaled heavily on Alfred's ear on the word want. Arthur's hands worked around ever craved muscle of the American's torso. "Do you want to hear it?" The Englishman pulled away shortly to give the younger man's cowlick a good lick and tug of his. Arthur knows his accent is extra thick, it usually was when Arthur decided to talk dirty to Alfred. Arthur went back to Alfred's ear shortly after. "I'm sure it will make you come more than once." Arthur said darkly, keeping his hips just out of reach.

Alfred nearly smirked when he saw Arthur begin to crack, but managed to suppress it before it ruined to effect of his innocent, needy expression. This was hitting below the belt for sure, but drastic times called for drastic measures. And this wasn’t solely for his benefit either! They deserved a little break after all the work they put into keep this town up and running. They had put aside their own intimacy for too long, and it was time they were rewarded. “Two days isn’t a big deal if I get to spend the rest of the evening with you,” he promised, never once breaking eye contact with the older male. Just a little bit longer and his resolve would break. And when it did, they could finally have a night without having to worry about pleasing anybody but each other. Alfred could not wait.

Wait, four months? On a boat? That wasn’t going to be good for the American. He had been on boats, sure, but for only short distances and he had been antsy the entire time. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to be on a boat for three to four months without a stretch of land inside. He would go stir crazy stuck within that boat! But then again, it was for Arthur. Arthur had given up his life to stay with him, it was only fair that he journeyed with him back to England and behaved himself. Still, he couldn’t help but thank his lucky stars that they wouldn’t be able to make that trip for a few years at the very least. “Tomorrow I’ll see if we can set up a day trip for ourselves within the next week or so, but traveling all the way to Virginia will have to wait until we have more help.” Hopefully within the next few months, they could find the time to spare for a quick trip back to his home state. He had not had the chance to visit his mothers grave in some years, and felt guilty for abandoning her for so long.

Without any warning, Alfred was suddenly pressed up against the bed with a very needy Englishman climbing on top of him. He groaned in relief when he realized that they were finally going to get somewhere after all. “Arthur…” He breathed, shifting underneath him to allow the other to pull open his shirt. It was no secret that Alfred enjoyed being in control when it came to sexual matters, despite all his insecurities when they first took that leap. He loved being the one to make Arthur moan and squirm in the most sinful ways, and watch as his pale face went flushed with desire. But he also loved it when the former criminal shoved him down and pushed his young body to it’s limits. And damn, Arthur knew exactly how to turn him into a writhing mess when he wanted to.

“Ah!” He exhaled sharply at the light nip to his neck. No matter how long it had been since they had done this, Arthur had not forgotten any of his sensitive points. Perhaps he should play dirty more often if this is the reaction he got. “Yes…” He whispered, suddenly very interested in whatever idea had gotten into his gentleman fiancés head. Another low moan slipped past his lips at the sudden lick and tug to his stubborn cowlick. Oh god and his accent had gone richer then usual - Alfred came undone when he talked dirty like that. He wanted to tell him yes, that he would go for any idea the other had as long as he continued what he was doing. And yes, he absolutely loved the idea of coming more then once, but the only thing he managed was another needy moan as he arched his hips off the bed, desperately trying to release some of the tension by rubbing up against Arthur once more. This is what he got for fighting dirty. Now the cruel man was probably going to make him beg.

Arthur clucked his tongue as he shoved the American's hips back down to the bed. The American was still no doubt strong than Arthur, however in the man's want for more, Arthur easily won out. "Now poppet, I haven't even started to explain anything." Arthur said keep a firm hold on the American's hips. If the man still wanted something he could over power the Englishman's hold on him with ease. "Don't get a head of yourself." Arthur said silkily. Arthur nibbled on the American's ear, smirking to himself. He was the only one who could truly turn Alfred into the mess he currently was, and he would do it with very little effort and that something. Arthur moved to Alfred's shoulders, biting down and sucking, leaving marks no one would see, and attempting to make them look like bruises if some did. Alfred can be somewhat uncoordinated from time to time, and a bruise on the shoulder doesn't raise as much of an eyebrow as on on the neck.

"I best get to tell you before you get too impatient." Arthur said pulling away and looking down at the man. he gave a bit of sigh before a devilish grin feel on his lips. "Don't pout when I tell you this, but it's not exactly sex. It's more of a...'swordfight' when you think about it." Arthur said, leaving the meaning of what he was saying hanging in the air. It wasn't the traditional way...if there was one for what they were doing...of sex, but it still did the job. "No clothes, hands free, and all the thrusting and bucking your little body can handle." Arthur said. Alfred's body was far from little, but Arthur can't stop himself from saying it to the American. Especially when Arthur was the more experienced one, enough people had said to him, and Arthur understood the joy they probably possessed in saying it.

Arthur's devilish grin only grows as he looks down at Alfred. The American is too much of a horny mess to deny what he's offering. "No pain in the morning, so we both win out on this one."

Alfred whined pathetically when Arthur denied him in favor of keeping his hips pressed firmly against the bed. He was half tempted to break away from the other’s hold, but the positively feral look in the Englishman’s eyes was enough for him to think twice. He may be physically stronger then Arthur, but when Arthur was determined to get his way, there was no stopping him. Besides, the hidden part of Alfred’s mind admitted that he liked being dominated by the smaller male every once in a while, and he was curious to hear him out. “Then explain,” He groaned, half heartedly squirming underneath Arthur. He breathed out a low moan when a set of sharp teeth bit down on his shoulder. That was going to leave a mark, but Arthur was always careful not to leave any love bites where they would be noticed, so Alfred said nothing.

The American couldn’t help but pout when he realized that Arthur was still not going to allow for them to go all the way. But he couldn’t act too upset because the prospect of actually performing the act suggested was more then he could take. Arthur had successfully turned him into a needy mess and now he was far too impatient to even think about waiting any longer. He wanted to feel Arthur and he wanted to feel him now. “Fine,” He conceded, trying to look put out but failing miserably. Instead his gaze wondered down to the front of Arthur’s loose pants, already thinking up ways to strip him as quickly as possible so they could continue. “But once we have some time to ourselves, we’re going to make love properly.” Alfred did not wait for a response, instead pulling Arthur down for a heated kiss. Besides, he knew for a fact the older man would agree to it anyway.

Now that he had agreed to the other’s terms, Alfred only too happy to get down to business. With his lips occupied with Arthur’s, his hands slid down his smooth back to pull down on his loose pants. He only moved them down enough to expose the base of his erection, leaving the rest for Arthur to deal with on his own. As much as he wanted to touch him, make him squirm in the same way that Arthur had done to him, but he resisted. They agreed to do this with no hands, so he would gladly comply. Alfred pulled away, breathless and raring to go. “This was your idea Artie,” He breathed, allowing a teasing grin to tug at his lips. “Why don’t you take the reins and show me how its done.”

Arthur chuckled at the American's responses, all two happy to know he was causing them. His hands slowly working over the Sheriff's clothes till he agreed to everything and then Arthur would take them off and ravish him like he should. The Englishman's hand started to make quick work of the American's pants while giving the American's all he could with his mouth. Alfred had gotten better and making Arthur whither in a kiss, and just kissing in general. "Of course, love." Arthur hummed at the mention of making love when they had time as he pulled away from the kiss. There was nothing Arthur more than that, he didn't care who was making the love or what, he just wanted it. Arthur can only hope the townspeople will insist they take a few days off rather than one, but Arthur is quiet sure that won't happen, or Alfred wouldn't let it happen too quickly. A moan escaped his lips when Alfred pulled his pants just enough do his length was free. The night air tickled him with pleasure.

Arthur tugged Alfred's pants free from his legs, running his hand down Alfred's leg, moving as if there was no scar. "You're very cocky today." Arthur observed leaning down to run his tongue along Alfred's neck and up to his ear again. "Still your eagerness won't go unrewarded it." Arthur said bring his hips down and giving a sharp but slow grin against Alfred's own length. He did slow (painfully), gentle, drawn out thrusts against Alfred. He moaned deeply. Alfred was warm and hard against him, making him wanted the length in him and rubbing against his stomach. Arthur covered Alfred's mouth in a kiss as he started to pick up speed.

Alfred shivered in delight when the older man stripped him of his clothes. Only Arthur could manage to turn such a simple gesture into something so damn arousing. The American groaned as thin fingertips slid up his leg, lightly caressing the scar littered flesh. No matter how much time had passed since they had been this intimate, Arthur never forgot how to turn him into a writhing mess. “What can I say?” He grinned in reply, shivering as Arthur’s hot tongue trailed along the curve of his neck up to his ear. “I learned from the best.” His snickers died in his throat when Arthur’s hips shifted down and their heated erections brushed against each other. Oooh, that was nice. That was very, very nice. Why had he resisted for so long? This was just what he had needed.

Alfred tilted his head back and groaned, bucking his hips up in an attempt to speed up the Englishman’s slow thrusts. Why did he always have to be such a tease when he was in control? Jerk. For all his internal whining, Alfred had already turned into a panting, groaning mess. The feeling of Arthur’s need rubbing up against his own brought him just enough relief to keep him begging for more, but not nearly enough to come. It was maddening and before long, the American was moving his hips back and forth at an almost desperate pace. “Arthur…” He groaned, slipping his arms around the other’s torso to yank him down closer for another heated kiss. Their lips meet sloppily as the American lost himself within wondrous pleasure. It wouldn’t be long before the delicious friction alone pushed him over the edge.

Arthur could only smirk at the others reactions as he kissed him and Alfred's hips desperately begged for more. You're enjoying this, git. Arthur thought smartly to himself before waves of pleasure of the rubbing lengths. All he wanted to was more. The only thoughts running through his head was Alfred, his glorious expressions and sounds, and the need to go faster. Arthur kept the steady rythem as best he could, he wanted to at least make it something a bit specialer that grinding against each other. Alfred's hips were not making the wanted task easy, driving him crazy with the amounts of pleasure it was giving him. With a grunted moan, the Englishman did his best to hold down the American's hips. It took him a few tries but he succeed enough. However his wants to be steady and get ever reaction from Alfred as he could had flown away and he gave Alfred all he was worth. With the speed and hardness the other had been wanting and begging for. Arthur attempted to keep Alfred's hips tame, but if the American flipped them he wouldn't care as long as the friction kept coming.

Arthur bit down, somewhat harshly, again on Alfred's shoulder, sucking, wanting to leave a good mark this time. Something that would make Alfred work a bit if someone saw it. He moaned deeply, his control being lost and all become the want for something physical. "Am I making you regret not doing this sooner?" Arthur questioned in a mix of moans and cries of ecstas. "You seem to be enjoying yourself quiet a lot." Arthur smirked against Alfred's skin, sweat starting to form on both their bodies. "I love the fact that I can make you like this, make you come so hard." Arthur himself was rather close to coming, and he could only hope Alfred was as well.

Alfred whimpered when the older man finally managed to force his hips back down. Although he was physically stronger then the other, when Arthur wanted to keep control, he was going to do so no matter what the American did. That didn’t stop him from squirming about and making embarrassingly needy sounds in hopes of getting Arthur to satisfy him quicker. When this did not happen immediately, Alfred was prepared to flip them over and rut against the smaller man with everything he had, but then Arthur’s tune changed. Instead of keeping his steady, slow pace, the former criminal was thrusting with all the force he had been waiting for. “Yes… Arthur…” He groaned, digging his short nails into his back.

The pleasure was steadily becoming too much. With each thrust, each grind, Alfred was losing himself. The bite to his shoulder elicited a sharp gasp and he arched his back off the bed to get closer. He never admitted to the fact that he liked a little pain when they were going at it, but Arthur had somehow managed to figure it out anyway. The light pain was enough to send shivers down his spine. “Ah…” Alfred tried to pout or look irritated when Arthur spoke, but failed miserably. He was far too desperate to appear anything otherwise. “S-shut up.” He managed to say in between groans. “Arthur… this feels so good…”

Alfred could feel a familiar tightening in his stomach. So close, so close. Oh god, he felt like he was about to burst any second. He grunted softly and gave another hard thrust, and before he could warn Arthur, his release hitting him like a freight train. He arched his back off the bed and cried out some lust clouded variant of Arthur’s name. By the time he drifted down from the clouds, he was winded, sweaty, and thoroughly exhausted. He barely had the strength to speak, let alone move, but he managed to tilt his head up and press a loving kiss against the Brit’s forehead before collapsing back against the bed. Damn, he hated to admit it, but he had been right. That had been incredible.

Arthur did not need to be told by Alfred that it felt good. Arthur knew it felt amazing. After all it seemed like a bit of a free for all as they ground against each other. Alfred's hips, though held still wiggled and caused a large about of pleasure for the Englishman. He was so lost he knew he was whispering dirty things, but he wasn't going to remembered them one bit after that. Maybe they weren't as dirty as he thought and it was just sweet nothingness of compliments and love. At least he was aware of the fact that he was in a moaning thrusting mess, and the sheriff's moans seemed to be begging for him to come. They were the sirens his seeds would happily die for. The familiar feeling of Alfred's release only thrilled the Englishman more. This method everything was a surprise, excepts one's own release. He happily welcomed the feeling of Alfred arching up against it, thrusting harder against the younger for his own release.

It wasn't too long after and threw his head back, letting out a deep throated "Alfred!" and a mix of moans. He nuzzled into Alfred's body when he came down form his orgasm, happily grinning at the feeling of the American's lips on his forehead. He was exhausted, more than he would have liked to have been. He wanted to at least do this more than once in one night, but the day he had had before was weighing down on him, more than he would have liked. He cuddled Alfred's chest, feeling their cum between them, their slick sweating bodies, and the pants.

"You think you could do another round." Arthur dared ask. There was so much they had to do. Clean themselves up a bit and get dressed in some manner so they could answer the door if someone come knocking. "If not we need to clean ourselves up still and get somewhat dressed." It didn't matter if they were pulling on a shirt as he hurried down the stairs, but they at least need some pants. Arthur groaned, he wished they could sleep like this, curl up just skin on skin and enjoy the other's warmth.

Alfred couldn’t help but chuckle at Arthur’s suggestion for another round. As much as he wanted to have another go, his body was already preparing for slumber. Damn their long work days. “I’m always up for another round, but we should get some sleep. It’ll be morning before we know it.” Wasn’t that the truth? Every morning without fail, somebody would inevitably come knocking at their door and rouse them from slumber. He loved being of service to the people, but hated that it constantly interfered with his cuddly mornings with Arthur. How long had it been since the two of them had awoken without outside interference? It seemed like months has passed since their last quiet morning together.

Still, the American wasn’t quite willing to sacrifice every aspect of their relationship. He completely ignored Arthur’s suggestion of cleaning up and dressing themselves and instead shifted his body so that the other man was nestled comfortably beside him. “Let’s worry about that in the morning,” He said, looping his arms tightly around Arthur’s frame so he couldn’t easily pull away. He knew that it wasn’t the smartest idea to sleep in the nude, especially with the evidence of their passionate night still present on their stomachs, but he was tired of having to be responsible all the time. It wasn’t a crime to want to have something special for himself, and it certainly wasn’t a crime to be in love. So for tonight, he wanted to sleep beside Arthur and not have to worry. There would be plenty of worries waiting for him when he opened in his eyes again in the morning.

"Alfred," Arthur warned half-heartily as the other held him close. Every reason to stop what they were doing ran through his head, each one seemed to find an overpowering reason not too. Of course they would then circle around and come back. Arthur sighed, he had a feeling the one night they weren't ready to do jump into action, someone was going to come in the middle of the night knocking with news of something horrible. Just the thought makes Arthur wasn't to pull the covers over his head and shout at the person to go away. Alfred's warm body was starting to lull him to sleep as well, fight it as much as wanted to make a point, he was already starting to go to sleep. "Al...it will safe us time in the long run." Arthur said fighting back a yawn. Though Arthur wouldn't mind seeing the American scammble about the room to look presentable to whoever was knocking.

Alfred's hold was making Arthur lose the want to argue, and he just sighed and gave up. If anything happened he was going to lay it heavily on Alfred's head, no regrets about anything though. He cuddled up into Alfred's neck. "If anything happens, you do realize I'm never going to let you forget it." Arthur threatened before he let himself drift off to sleep.

There was no need to respond to Arthur’s threat for he was already lost to the world of sleep. Alfred smiled and pressed a gentle kiss against the top of his forehead, holding his warm frame close. He was more then willing to take the blame as long as he got at least one night without worries. Was that too much to ask? He didn't think it was. Goodnight Artie. I love you… He thought as he pulled a sheet around the two of them. Morning seemed so far away, but he knew it would come around much sooner then either of them would have liked. That was the price they paid for doing this job, but he loved it all the same. And they were together. When all was said and done, they were together and that was all that mattered. Alfred smiled at the thought and let his eyes drift shut. The warmth of Arthur’s body combined with his own body’s satisfaction was enough to lull him to sleep…

Of course, Arthur was right about their sleeping arrangements being a problem. As soon as the sun peaked its head over the horizon, there came a quiet knock to the door. Alfred awoke instantly, much to his annoyance and set about detangling himself from the Brit. Damn, couldn’t they have just one morning where they could sleep in a bit? He grumbled in annoyance and frantically grabbed the first pair of pants he could. He worked them over his hips with a surprising amount of skill (months of practice had attributed to this) and wiped the crusted remains of his and Arthur’s night of pleasure off with a wet rag. He would have grabbed a shirt had another, louder knock sounded at the door. “Just a minute!” He called, racing down the stairs. They were never going to get a break, were they?

Alfred skidded to a halt at the bottom of the stairs and managed to open up the front door before another knock sounded. “Sorry about that! What can I help you with?” He looked down at the man at the door, surprised to find that it wasn’t the usual batch of townspeople or messengers, but instead and very short, dark-haired man with wide brown eyes. Huh, must be a newcomer. Alfred smiled brightly and held out a hand in greeting. “Hello there, I’m Alfred F. Jones, sheriff of this fine town. Is there something I can do for you Mr…” He trailed off, hoping that the petite foreigner would cut him off and fill him in on what the other was doing there. Nothing of the sort happened. In fact, the man seemed to be far more focused on staring at Alfred’s exposed torso with pinked cheeks rather then speaking. Alfred shifted uncomfortably and waved his hand back and forth in front of the brunette’s face in hopes of catching his attention. That snapped the other back to reality.

“Please excuse me Jones-san,” He said, voice thick with an unfamiliar accent. “I am Kiku Honda. I have traveled here in hopes of securing a job. You see, I worked as a sheriff’s assistant underneath the guidance of Beilschmidt-san. Please allow me to be of assistance.”

Post by Crocky Kirkland Sun Nov 27, 2011 1:04 pm

The sound of knocking didn't wake Arthur up, it was to light and frantic that he sleep through it. However he woke up when Alfred was scrambling to get out of bed, the large amount of quick and frantic movement had frightened Arthur. Arthur doesn't take to too much movement when he was asleep. Something Ivan had managed to scare him awake with, of course Arthur usually woke up to find Alfred, and was calmed instantly. He knows Alfred doesn't mean anything by it, still if it was anyone put Alfred, Arthur but just whip around and punch them in the face. He stretched and watched Alfred run about the room trying to get ready. Arthur chuckled, leaving the very much implied "Told you so" hanging in the air. He wanted to curl back up and fall back sleep, but Alfred was already up, and the least Arthur could do is wake up as well. Besides if it is someone from the town explaining a robber or something they might want to sit down. Arthur can manage making some tea and coffee, maybe some toast. So he's day was already started, and he had a nice list of things to look into.

With a sigh he crawled out of bed and pulled on some jeans. He picked up the rag and wiped himself as well, before snatching up a spare shirt he kept in 'Alfred's' room. He slide it over his head, knowing he can take a bit longer since Alfred already rushed to get the door, shirtless of course. Arthur rolled his green eyes, making a mental note to pick on up from the cabinet downstairs where he kept a few of their shirts for emergencies. Something they could through at the other and no one would think too much off it. Arthur made his way down the stairs when someone started talking, and he didn't pay them much mind, if Alfred couldn't handle it by himself he would tell him. He grabbed a shirt and flung it at the American as he passed to go to the kitchen. "But a bloody shirt on, git." He said in a friendly but clear announce from the fact that he had been woken up.

The Englishman turned his attention to making something that would wake them up and help them through the morning. Arthur didn't feel up to eating toast again, maybe some towns person would pity him and give him just a little something to eat. Of course he wasn't going to walk out the house without a cup of tea in his hand, or the town might have a very grumpy and short-tempered deputy that day.

Alfred stared blankly at the man before him, wondering how in the heck his prayers had been answered so quickly. Only last night he and Arthur were discussing the possibility of hiring somebody else to ease some of the responsibilities off of them and the very next morning, somebody comes looking for a job. Was it just coincidence or fate? Alfred didn’t know, but he was thrilled nonetheless. He smiled brightly and was just about to say as much when Arthur announced his presence by tossing a shirt at the back of his head. He flashed the Englishman a pout, but slid the garment over his shoulders and went about buttoning it up. It wasn’t his fault there was a knock on the door and he had to rush out without a shirt. Well, actually it was, but whatever.

Once he was relatively decent, Alfred turned his attention back to the man at the door. “Ah right, sorry about that. You kind of caught me sleeping,” He admitted with a sheepish grin. Kiku said nothing, his expressionless face revealing nothing. Alfred stood there awkwardly for another moment, waiting for the other to respond or possibly apologize for waking them up, but he did no such thing. The American sighed a bit and pushed the door open wider. “Come on in then,” He said, gesturing into the house. The man smiled gently and silently stepped passed the threshold, his long cloak shifting with his light movements. Alfred caught of flash of metal hidden beneath the material and silently wondered what the other was concealing. He shook it off though and instead lead the way into the kitchen were Arthur was making tea no doubt.

He motioned towards the table where Kiku took a seat, waiting patiently as the sheriff explained the situation to his partner. “Arthur, this is Kiku Honda. Kiku, my partner Arthur Kirkland.” Alfred nodded to each of the man respectably, missing the hardened look that appeared within the newcomers deep brown eyes. By the time he glanced back, it was gone. “Kiku here is hoping to take a position in law enforcement. He apparently did work with uh…”

“Beilschmidt-san,” Kiku offered from the table.

“Right, him.” As if he had any idea who the heck that was, but he sounded legitimate enough. “Anyway, he’s looking for a job. What do you think Artie?” Alfred couldn’t help but grin excitedly at the prospect of somebody else being around to help out with all the odd jobs and busy work that seemed to build up. Maybe if this guy turns out to be reliable and a diligent worker, Arthur and him could manage to get away sooner then expected. Hey, a guy could hope, couldn’t he?
