[Farm Boy Alfred F Jones]

“Hurry up, Matt!” Alfred shouted to his brother as his horse ran toward the wood. He couldn’t wait to fight evil. It was his mission as a strongest knight to battle wickedness and to protect the kingdom. Well, him and his brother, Matthew who he dragged along to be his sidekick.

A few hours ago, the king summoned him to the castle. Alfred gladly accepted being a knight of birth. As he kneed before the king, his majesty told him the kingdom needed him. There is a prophecy were a single powerful knight will slay an evil shape shifter who sought to destroy the kingdom. In slaying the shape shifter, he’ll be the most powerful hero and Alfred was the so called chosen one, the prophecy knight.

So happy, Alfred gladly received the quest, because his dream came true. He’s the chosen one. He ran home telling Matt and forcing him to join him. Especially when he required proof that he killed the evil creature.

Now back to the present, the ‘chosen one’ now dashing down the path to the direction to the shape shifters’ territory. It going to take a maybe few days to weeks to get there, no one really knew how long it took to go to their land. But the quicker they get there the sooner he can prove that he’s the hero.

A small brown-and-white cat carefully made his way through the brush of the woods. By all rights, no shapeshifter should be this close to the humans' territory, not if they didn't want to risk getting killed. But Arthur couldn't help himself.

Years ago, he'd discovered that he could use his abilities, the birthright of all members of the Felidae tribe, to sneak into the nearby human village. Well, any shapeshifter could, but most didn't want to. They had no reason to bother with humans, and kept to themselves in their woods.

But shapeshifters didn't have books, or at least not many. And humans did.

Perhaps stealing books was wrong, but it wasn't like Arthur could walk into the village and pay for them. He devoured books; he was entranced by all the different stories and tales he found within each tome. The written word took Arthur on journeys beyond his wildest dreams, all while staying safely in a quiet corner of the forest.

Books were, to Arthur, worth risking discovery over.

Matthiew never wanted to be a knight, he wanted to be a scribe when he was younger, but his brother wanted to be a knight so, he followed (actually, it was more like dragged.) his brother into becoming a knight; because while he barely could even hold a sword due his flayed nerves and thus was useless in a fight, he.... he didn't wanted to stay at home and worried about Alfred dying or not getting enough food. Or being cold o-o-or being hurt!

He sighed when Alfred come running in and told him that he was the chosen one for a prophecy to defeated a evil shape-shifter. Matt knew that he would be forced to come even if he wanted to just stay home, so he just made sure to grabbed the supplies he packed for when his brother wanted to on a adventure. At least Matt would be useful when they finally run into something Alfred can't brute force himself out of.

"Alfred! You shouldn't be rushing off so fast!" Matt yelled at his brother as he tried to follow on his horse on a much safer speed, "What if your horse tripped over a root?"

Alfred laughed, “Don’t worry bro. You know my horse can handle any terrain.”

He didn’t worry, though he did charge into adventure quickly. But he was the chosen one. He’ll go safely to the foreign land, fighting the evil shape-shifter, win and come back. Alfred will be the strongest knight than those who laugh at him. Mainly to that albino knight, Gilbert, always taking the flame of being the most awesome knight. Oh he’ll show him.

Not playing attention, the horse ran over something, tripping and falling after. Alfred fell off the horse, landing in a bush. Owww. What did the horse tripped over? Slowly he moved out of a bush, seeing a cat lying on the ground. Oups.

[Changeling Arthur]

Finally! The edge of the woods. All he had to do now was cross the dirt road that marked the boundary between the woods and human territory, and he could wander around the village like an ordinary housecat until no one was looking.

Arthur crouched, wiggling his hindquarters in preparation to leap onto the path and run across (he usually tried to cross the road as fast as possible, as someone might get suspicious if they saw an animal come out of the shapeshifter's woods). He was so focused on his task that he didn't hear the thundering of approaching hooves until it was too late. He leapt out, and-

Smack!

Something hit Arthur's head, hard. He was thrown into the air and landed a metre away, hitting his head hard. He opened his eyes slightly, catching a glimpse of a lock of wheat-blond hair and eyes as blue as the sky, before the blackness washed over him and he fell unconscious.

[Wanda]

Matt was torn between being worried or facepalming at his brother's recklessness, and said, "But it's better to be safe than sor-" He watched in horror as his brother's horse hit a cat that just took a jumped out of the shapeshifter territory.

Wait, a cat from the... Matt narrowed his eyes at the cat laying on the ground, it could just easy be a normal cat, but it could very likely be a shapeshifter. Still, it's not like he will have much tim-oh who was he kidding? His brother has a habit of picking up hurt animals, like that one time his brother brought back a frog that kept giving Matt a feeling that he was being check out by the animal... Which made Matt wondered if his brother managed to bring back a shapeshifter or not, he never had a chance to find out because the frog left once it was healed.

And of course, Matt always the one that nursed the hurt animals back to health. Which... means he would have time to figure out if the cat was a shapeshifter or not. He had his horse trotted over to his brother, "Alfred, are you okay?"

Alfred dash to the cat on the ground. Poor thing was a small brown-and-white cat now with red staining it fur. Looking closely, the cat was breathing, which was good sign, but unconscious. He slowly picked up the cat, place it in his arms. “I’m fine, Matt. The cat is not. We have to bring the poor kitty with us.”

Yes, he need had a soft spot for animal ever since a child. Alfred couldn’t see a poor animal injured so he took him or her home with him until they fully recovered. The sad part is when the animal had to be put back into the wild because his parents never like animals. He wished to have a pet.

Because of the adventure, the cat had to tag along. Alfred didn’t worry; he’ll protect the kitty and take care of it until it healed. Speaking of which, is the cat a boy or a girl? “Hey bro, can you check to see if the cat is a boy or a girl? I’m afraid to drop him/her and make the wound worse.”

Damn, that smarted. Arthur wasn't even sure which part of his body was the most injured; all he knew was that everything seemed to hurt.

The pain, however, was quickly forgotten when Arthur realized that he was no longer lying on the ground, but being cradled gently by a pair of strong arms. Arms whose owner was currently saying something about bringing the "poor kitty" (oh, how that term alone made Arthur's fur bristle) along with them, like some sort of common housecat!

Arthur nearly yelled in indignation. Did this idiot have any idea of how rude he was being? What self-respecting shapeshifter would- oh. Arthur finally registered the smell of two humans - humans - and a horse. So that was why.

Arthur kept his eyes tightly closed and willed himself not to panic. The humans hadn't noticed what he was, perhaps they wouldn't at all. He'd just have to stay in cat form and play the part of the "poor little kitty" until he could find an opportunity to escape. If he played his cards right, he could get out of this with neither of the two the wiser.

He had just managed to get himself to relax when the boy spoke again. Arthur froze. Had he really just said... was he actually going to.... His wild thoughts were answered by the sensation of a cautious hand on his back.

Arthur panicked. He scratched the offending hand and jumped from the boy's arms, hissing and spitting at the both of them. How dare those hoodlums even think about going anywhere near... a-and besides, his shapeshifter markings were on his stomach! It's not like he was embarrassed or anything, he just wanted to avoid detection! Yes, that was it. He glared at the boys from the ground and turned around with a huff, wrapping his tail around himself.

Matt smiled softly and thanks the fates that his brother always bounced back from anything without much injuries, "Sure, I will check to see the cat's gender." ...wait, the cat that was relaxing suddenly frozen at his and Alfred's words. As if it heard them and knew what they meant to do, this.... didn't lower his suspicions about it being a Shapeshifter.

And when he touched the cat's back, it reacted with violence and clawed his hand as it jumped down, it glared at them both. Matt didn't look at his bleeding hand and just stared at the possible shapeshifter, "Strange.... I was sure I didn't touch any place that would been hurt..."

"Well, cat. Could you nod once if you are a male or twice if you are a female? Or do you want us to guess on your gender?"

Alfred eyes widen a bit in surprise as the cat cawed at his brother and jumped out of his arms. Kitty mad and probably frighten. Who wouldn’t be mad? The cat got hit by a horse, by his horse.

“Please kitty, let us your gender?” He stared at the cat with puppy eyes. “We just want to take care of you until you recover. The gash on your body is big and you can’t survive if you’re injured. After you’re healed, we can take you back to the forest and you’ll never see us again, I promise.”

"Nod once if you are a male and twice if you are a female." Arthur very nearly complied with the request, but caught himself just in time. He was pretending to be a normal cat — responding intelligently to speech definitely fit under the category of "abnormal". If the humans hadn't been watching, Arthur would have sighed with relief — that was a close call.

He began to lick some of the blood off of his fur instead (inwardly wincing; he much preferred washing as a human to using his own tongue for personal hygiene), using the motion as an opportunity to get a good look at his new "owners". They seemed very alike (brothers, judging from their earlier dialogue, perhaps even twins); the same hair colours, the same faces, similar eyes and voices. There were a few differences, though. One had longer hair and violet eyes, while the other's were a hue that reminded one of cloudless skies on a warm, sunny d— blue eyes! He had blue eyes.

Their personalities seemed different, as well. From what he could tell of them so far, the blue-eyed one seemed like an obnoxious and loud but well-meaning idiot: not much going on up there. The other, though, the one the first had called "Matt".... Arthur could see this "Matt" looking at him suspiciously as he washed. From what he could tell, the boy was careful, patient, quiet, and very observant. Why, if Arthur hadn't known better, he'd have pegged him for a Felidae shapeshifter himself, with the catlike way the boy seemed to take in and consider every small detail of his surroundings with sharp violet eyes.

Arthur had no doubt that if he wasn't careful, the quieter twin would discover his true identity in a heartbeat. Best to stay away from him, then. He made his way over to the other boy instead and grudgingly let himself be picked up — this was only a matter of strategy, of course, and definitely had nothing to do with a pair of intriguing blue eyes and a blinding smile.

Matt watched the cat instead licked the blood off of it's self, hm.... that either means it was just a normal cat or a shapeshifter that didn't want be to found out, he would just need to keep a eye on it. "Very well, I will just have to call you a she then, cat."

He watched the 'female' cat walked over toward his brother to get picked up, he almost narrowed his eyes again. If that cat turned out to be a shapeshifter, it....will not turned out good for 'her' if 'she' ever hurt Alfred.

"So, brother, can you tell if Miss Cat needs to be bandaged at all?" Matt smiled at his brother as he waited and glanced to the forest. Perhaps he should go find Alfred's horse?

Smiling, Alfred picked up the cat, cradling her in his arms again. Thank God the cat decided to allow Matt and him take care of her. He still wondered if the cat was really a female or not, whatever his brother said, the cat a girl. “I think a bandage should be wrap on her wound until we can find a pond, lake or river to wash her fur. Then we’ll see if she needs a bandage or not.”

Pulling a cloth from a pocket, Alfred wrapped it around the injury. There, that should do it for now. Hopefully there water not too far so the fur can be cleansed of blood. Petting the cat, “Hey while you’re traveling with us, why not gave you a name? How about Iggy?”

She?! Miss Cat?! Arthur very nearly blew his cover right then and there. Oh, how he'd love to give those two a piece of his mind — if not the very real threat of execution by one of those sharp-looking swords were he to reveal himself, he would have done it without a second thought. Instead, Arthur swallowed his wounded pride and decided to save his revenge for another time.

He was so wrapped up in plotting out the different inconveniences one could enact with a pair of claws that he missed the blue-eyed brother's next words. Arthur stiffened as the boy pulled out some sort of cloth from his pocket. What on earth could he be planning to do with that? Put it around his neck like some sort of humilliating collar? Tie it in a bow around his ear? Wrap him up and carry him around like a sack?!

Gentle fingers wrapped the cloth around the injured side of his head, carefully working around the wound, then moved to stroke his fur. Arthur was so taken off-guard that he instantly relaxed at the touch of the boy holding him. The shifter settled into his arms, suddenly so calmed and content that he couldn't even be bothered to protest at the moronic nickname. A low vibration began to emanate from his small body.

Wait. Was he actually purring?!

By Mafdet, he was. Arthur immediately struggled out of the boy's arms and jumped to the ground once more, hoping desperately that his blush wasn't visible through the fur.

[Wanda]

Matt blinked in surprised to see the cat again jumped out of his brother's arms after relaxing for a bit, strange....almost as if 'she' didn't wanted to relax near them or something, "I suppose she should be thankful that you called her Iggy instead of something like Cat, brother." Matt smiled at his older brother as he looked for his brother's horse.

Aha, he found the horse by the edge of the trees trying to not put any weight on one of it's legs. He checked the leg to find out that Horse had twisted his ankle, Matt wrapped a bandage over the ankle and turned to look at his brother, "Alfred! We should go to the village nearby and rest for awhile before we continue our journey, Horse needs to heal from his twisted ankle and Iggy needs to rest from getting hit in the head by Horse."

Although, he won't be surprised if Alfred got to restless and wanted to go before Horse was healed and added, "We shouldn't continued on with only Kumajiro as a healthy horse, so please. Try to wait as long as we need?"

Some time later, they reached the village, Matt kept a hold of the reins of the horses and looked around for the inn, he noticed a man with brown hair smiling near the entrance to the village, the quiet brother walked over to him and asked, "Sir, could you point me and my brother to the inn?"

The man looked at Matt and somehow managed to smile even more, "Ve~, sure! You will want to center of the village and turned right, it's called The Drunken Chocobo, it has a bird for a sign."

Matt fought down his urge to shudder, something about the man's amber eyes and smile creep him out, he smiled at the man, "Thank you, sir."

The man laughed(why does it feel like there is something wrong with that laugh!?) and waved cheerfully, "You are welcome! Veeee~"

Horse was an awesome name. It was better than Matthew’s horse name, Kumajiro. Alfred smiled sadly as Iggy jumped out of his arms again. Poor girl probably still not conferrable with them. She liked getting petted, he did hear her purring.

Wait, Horse has a twisted ankle? But they needed to continue on they’re adventure. To slay the evil shapeshifter and become a hero? Well, the needed his horse and will not ride Kumajiro sitting behind his brother. That too Un-hero! Alfred pouted very childish, “Fine. Come Iggy, to the village.”

As they reach the village, Alfred didn’t pay attention to his brother asking the strange, creepy man. He let his mind wander, thinking of what to keep himself entertained until reaching The Drunken Chocobo. Entering the inn, the place was very crowed and heavy smelled of alcohol. That was just the first floor.

The village? Damn it, it'd be impossible to lose them there; one of the villagers would inevitably see him and tell the brothers where he'd gone when they started to look for him. He'd just have to wait until their horse's leg healed and they set off again, then he could escape.

Arthur also registered the blue-eyed boy's name: Alfred. So, his captors were Alfred and Matt? He wondered if Matt stood for something else as he reluctantly followed the small procession of horses and boys, tail held stiffly in the air as a sign of protest at being called "Iggy".

When they encountered a villager, Arthur quietly hid himself in one of the boys' bags. Perhaps it was a bit cowardly of him, but by Bastet's tail, that stranger's smile was unnerving. He stayed there as they stabled their horses and entered the inn, not wanting to be put in the stable with the horses.

The Drunken Chocobo seemed like a dodgy place: paint peeling off the walls, scantily clad waitresses, the smell of cheap alcohol and smoke hanging everywhere. Arthur frowned in distaste, but he knew from his earlier forays into the area that it was the only inn in the village. It would have to do.

'Matt' talked quietly with the innkeeper for a moment, then handed over a few silver pieces to pay for a room. When his bag was brought upstairs, Arthur jumped out and made himself comfortable on one of the beds. Though the inn was cheap and dirty, it did have a small library; once the brothers left to go downstairs and be lewd with the waitresses and get drunk off of their arses (or whatever it was humans did at these places), he'd be free to sneak into the room and peruse some books for a while.

Looking at the first floor of the inn and ignoring the heavy smell of alcohol, Matthiew fervently hoped that his brother won't managed to get caught in a bar room brawl. Although that means Alfred won't be so bored... still, best hope their time here will just be quiet.

He payed for their room and then left to put the horses in the stable, he checked Horse's twisted ankle again and made sure both horses had some food. Once he was back in the inn and upstairs, he noticed that the inn had a library and he smiled happily that he had some books to read while he spent time here. He took the bed that Iggy didn't jumped on and made himself at home, he decided that he was going to read a few books before he goes down to get some food.

Matt paused before he left to check the library and quietly asked, "Brother? Can you try not to get into too much trouble?" ...Sadly, trouble seemed to like finding his brother even when he wasn't trying.

After going into room for a sec, Alfred went back down stair. Bored already and needed a drink. Going through the crowd, finding one spot to sit at the bar. “Waiter! Water please.”

The waiter glared at him weird, then went to get his drink. A voice boomed, “Water? This is a bar; you should be drinking a man drink. Unless you’re not a man at all.”

Alfred turned to see a gigantic man with ginger lengthy hair and beard. “Excuse me; you’re talking to a knight on a mission for the king. I’ll gonna save this kingdom and be a hero.”

The man waved his hand in the air, pretending to frighten. “Oh, a hero.” Then he smiled then laughed. “Sorry, I seen knight more man though than you. Continue on and you’ll be dead the next day, pretty boy.”

Pretty Boy. Oh no, he didn’t. A fist flew into the huge man’s face. The man crashes into a table, wincing, giving Alfred a dirtily glared. The men that the table got up and started beating the man, while others made more fights. Next thing the knight knew, he was tackled to the ground. Nice going, now there a bar fights.

Curse that quiet human! Admittedly, he was a bit pleasantly surprised by the revelation of the boy as a fellow book-lover, but still, he was taking away from Arthur's reading time! Arthur grumbled and wrapped his tail around himself cantakerously, settling onto the bed. It was rather comfortable, especially at this size. Perhaps he'd take a short nap until the boy went down for dinner....

Suddenly, his ear flicked forward, catching the sound of a brawl in the bar below. Honestly, these humans and their habits were disgusting. Didn't they have anything better to do than become intoxicated and fight each other? At least that Matt boy showed some sense!

Arthur's ear picked up the sound of a familiar voice in the thick of it all, and he shot up. Alfred?! What on earth could that idiot be doing, picking a fight with the thugs downstairs? From the looks of them, he'd be hard-pressed to handle one, let alone an entire gang. Arthur concentrated and picked up Alfred's grunts of pain — yes, from the sounds of it, the blue-eyed boy was losing. Badly.

Now, it wasn't as though he cared for the human in any capacity, you understand. But, well, he'd had treated the shifter's wounds and taken him in (even if the injuries had been Alfred's fault in the first place). So perhaps he felt as though he should repay him for his small kindness, to put them on even footing before he left. That was all it was!

Besides, all of that racket meant that he wouldn't have been able to get any sleep anyway.

Arthur ran down the stairs and saw Alfred pinned up against a wall by a large, tough-looking drunkard. To the shifter's horror, he saw the man unsheathe a knife from his belt and raise it in the air, the metal glinting menacingly.

The cat didn't think, he just acted. He threw himself at the man's face, his claws digging deep into tender flesh. The ruffian howled and raised both hands to his face in an attempt to pry the animal off of him, dropping the knife and letting Alfred go in his panic. Arthur swiped at the man's cheek and leapt onto another attacker, yowling. He managed to damage quite a few of the thugs before one grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and threw him roughly to the floor.

Arthur gritted his teeth at the sudden, sharp pain in his left front paw — he'd no doubt sprained it in the landing. Glancing at Alfred, he saw that the boy easily gaining the upper hand over his opponents. He had to resist the urge to quiver in fear when he saw the unnatural strength with which the blue-eyed knight dispatched the other brawlers. Arthur didn't like to think of the different ways that strength might come into play if his secret was discovered.

The Scottish Fold carefully weaved around scattered chairs and frantic limbs, limping as he walked. He went over towards the stairs, passing by the long-haired brother as he made his way up to their room. Arthur winced with every step — this injury was going to make it much more difficult to escape. Why in hell had he gone and done something so stupid in the first place?!

[Wanda]

Sitting in a chair in the small library, Matthiew was reading a book when he heard noises down stairs, it sounded like it was a barroom brawl, the younger brother sighed and just hoped his brother wasn't in the mi- he paled when he heard familiar sounds of pain, Of course, my brother gets into trouble... I best go get him before he gets too hurt.

He put down the the book on a table near the chair and quickly moved down the stairs, he blinked in surprise as Iggy limped past him. He spared one moment to wonder why the cat was down stairs and how 'she' got hurt before he stepped on the first floor and saw the chaos, he raised his voice, "Please! Everyone stop fighting!"

....

And no one listened to him and Matt sighed again, he made his way over to his brother who was still fighting, "Enough, brother. I think it's best we go back upstairs, it wouldn't do you any good if you get even more hurt."

He was ready to drag his brother back up the stairs if need, but he hoped that Alfred will listened to him.

Being pounded into the ground was not fun. Worse when one drunk pins you to a wall and has a knife. Alfred struggles in the man’s grip, but failed. Even for a drunk, this man was strong and is going to stab him. Out of nowhere, a fur ball attacked the man’s face. Wait, fur ball? He looked closely as the drunk let go of him to try to get what attacked his face. Iggy?! Iggy join in the fight? Was she trying to protect him? Alfred stared at the cat fighting with her claws until one thug threw her. “Iggy!”

Coming back to his senses, he fought back, knocking down many thugs and drunks with one hit. After a few more punches, Matthew came over and told him enough. Alfred growled nodding, turning back up stairs to their room. He more concerned about Iggy.

Picking up the cat, he held Iggy in his arms. Poor girl was getting more injured. Sitting on the bed she laid on before, “So Iggy, where are you injured this time?”

Examination her, he moved his hand softly to her front left paw, she hissed in pain when touched. Alfred wrapped an additional cloth around the paw. Then he pecked a kiss on the cat’s head and gently hugged her. “You’re a tough kitty, aren’t ya?”

Arthur was sitting on the bed, licking his sprained paw and wincing at the pain, when a pair of large hands suddenly grabbed him around the waist and turned him around. With much difficulty, he quashed the urge to scream, "Why can't you idiots just leave me alone to deal with my injuries in peace!" Instead, he glared up at the oblivious Alfred, who proceeded to start poking and prodding him in an exceedingly rude manner.

Arthur hissed as the probing fingers found his sprained paw. All right, so if he was honest, the man was being terribly careful and gentle with his examination, but damn it, it still hurt! Alfred bandaged his paw (wonderful, now he looked even more like a pathetic weakling). Before Arthur could so much as move, the human had the gall to — to actually kiss and hold him! Arthur wouldn't have been surprised if his burning cheeks showed up even through his fur. He struggled in the strong arms and managed to escape with a well-placed scratch to the arm, but not quickly enough to escape yet another humiliating comment. "Tough kitty", indeed. Oh, if only Arthur could shift into a different form! Then he'd show this ignoramus just how much of a tough kitty he really was.

Grumbling quietly to himself, Arthur stalked off to the now-vacant library, tail held stiffly in the air to express his distaste for such mortification. Being hugged, and cuddled, and pet, and now k-kissed by another man! That moronic git had absolutely no idea of what he was really doing. He certainly wouldn't have acted like that had he known Arthur's true identity.

Arthur viciously crushed the small feeling of disappointment that that thought brought and looked around the room. His eyes fell upon a book with an intriguing-sounding title that lay upon a small end table. He jumped up on the nearby sofa, carefully holding his hurt paw in the air, and took one side of the book in his mouth, dragging it down and across the floor until he reached the comfortable-looking carpet. How he wished he could shift back and read the book properly, with hands — but no, he couldn't take that much of a risk. Instead, Arthur turned the pages carefully with his uninjured paw, using his mouth when one was being particularly stubborn.

The shapeshifter lost himself in an epic fantasy of pirates and knights and evil wizards, until suddenly his ears picked up the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps. He quickly closed the book (noting his page for later) and ran gingerly to a different corner of the rug, trying not to make any noise when his left paw twinged painfully. He lay down and pretended to bat at a loose thread in the carpet just as the library door opened and 'Matt' walked inside.

The younger brother spaded one glance at Iggy leaving before he turned his full attention to his brother, "Let me see to your injuries, Alfred." He checked his brother's injuries and cleaned them before he wrapped bandages on his brother.

The noise of the brawl continued down the stairs, Matt glanced to the floor, "We will have to wait before we can go down to get some dinner. You should rest Alfred. ....Maybe I can find a book for you to read?"

With his brother's answer to that question, Matt walked back to the small library and stopped in surprise, the book he left on the table was now on the floor by the carpet, Iggy was batting at some thread on the other side of the rug. His eyes narrowed at the cat, no one come up the stairs after him and no one would leave the book on the floor unless it was... Matthiew finally got his last piece on the puzzle of Iggy, 'she' wasn't a normal cat but a shapeshifter. The younger brother wasn't going to sleep until he can confront the shapeshifter and find out it's threat to him and Alfred.

Still, best not let the shapeshifter found out that he knows just yet, so Matt just smiles at the cat as he picked up the book, "Well, I suppose I better finish this book."

He made sure to put the book back on the shelf after he was done, he wondered if he should leave it on a lower shelf or not.

Alfred sighed after Iggy left the room. Still not comfortable, but then why did she attack the drunk with a knife? He puzzled that thought as Matt clean injuries, every cut wrapped in bandages. Of course he had go start a bar fight. He usually won, this was different though. Suddenly a growl interrupted his thoughts; his stomach was telling him it needed food. Too bad the fight is still going on. “No thanks, bro. I’ll just doze off until it safe to get dinner.”

Leisurely Alfred lay down on the bed, moving on one side so there’s room for the cat. Hopefully Iggy gets the message to curl up on the bed next to him. She need to be comfy and warm too since she’s injured. Then he dozed of to a light sleep.
